paradox of youth - powerful title leh!!!

it's a horrible twist of fate =( how our youth consists of such a short period of time; yet it is the time frame in which our most critical preparations for the rest of our life is made, and also the time frame in which we have the most energy and therefore, the most potential to live. ok la i think the mediocrity (which is the most of us) can strike a balance without much trouble.

i just wonder sometimes at those who are so driven... whether they'll hit some midlife crisis and regret at the way they spent their time. chasing after achievables. i think great achievements fully deserve the high status they have... i mean, who am i to demean works of others, when i myself am not an achiever. this is just... a caveat.

after all, "the bitter truth we critics must face is that, in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is more meaningful than our criticism designating it so." - anton ego in ratatouille

"we are the young, the children of the world. we hold tomorrow in our hands..."

oh well. but the day after tomorrow won't be anymore! such a fleeting illusion of control. chaotic calamity!!! inspirationZ from othello lecture! must subsume everything in write powerful stuff for my lit A's =(
